GOALS

1. To computerize the academic and non-academic routine and identified operations of the school.
2. To involve the parent actively in the school activities that bear positively on their ward's progress.
3. Systematically educate all the teachers, students and parents on how to use simple computing tools to effectively carry out their work.
4. Expose all the defined School Parties (the school management, the teachers, the students and the parents) to the use of Internet and its benefits.
5. To link all the defined school parties to the global village where they can share and gain from other participating parties of the school systems .

OBJECTIVES

1. Provision of an integrated customized school portal that will be access via a school website. This website will be updated real-time everyday from the School LAN, thus giving timely information to the Public and the Parents as required by the school.
2. Provision of a localized school management systems (SchoMis) running on the school LAN with data operators to capture data in real-time and process them for publication on the school website and portal

This customized software modules functions as follows:

1. Maintains and manage Students bio statistics and academic details
2. Maintains and manage Assignments, quiz, mid-term Tests, continuous assessments reports, marks/grades
3. Records of teachers remarks on each subject for each student
4. Class teacher's remarks for each student.
5. An appraisal and performance tool for both teachers and students.
6. Records of extra-curricula activities: sporting activities, debates, Quiz etc
7. Provision of E-learning tools in combination with a real-time preparation for international exams such as TOEFL, GRE, IGCSE, GMAT, ETC
8. Provision of multimedia projector as a teaching/learning tool in the classroom to aid the teaching of school subjects and also in making vital presentations.
9. Provision of computer base training tools and digital studio suite to capture events for video production of localized subject's tutorials in order to complement classroom teaching and learning. Also to capture memorable events that can be posted on the school website. E.g. pictures of open day, inter house sports, P.T.A etc.

For The Parents - Provides each parent with a valid web-mail address e.g.  parent@school.org.

1. A web account for each parent to be able to interact with their ward and their teacher through the CHAT program. SMS texts from the Internet to their GSM phones for alerts, announcements, meetings etc
2. 18. Provision of Weekly report of their ward progress such as the assignments, performance, class attendance tests results, appraisal ……all these will be sent promptly to their mail box.
3. Provision of a Poll facility on the website for parents to vote on an issue and also post opinion and advice
4. Provision of a Discussion forum on the school website for PTA meetings to discuss issues and agenda before and after PTA meetings. It also serves as a tool to monitor PTA committees on progress reports.
